Inside Tee Drill (Top Hand)0:54

Inside Tee Drill (Top Hand)

For this drill, Luis works on an inside-out hitting drill by placing the tee at the inner back corner of the plate. The goal is to train a direct hand path, stay back, and use the hips to drive the ball the other way.

Inside Tee Drill (Bottom Hand)0:38

Inside Tee Drill (Bottom Hand)

Luis places the tee on the inside corner to force himself to stay tight to the ball and rely on clean moves with his bottom hand. The drill trains an inside-out swing path, staying back, and driving the ball the other way.

Outside Tee Drill0:41

Outside Tee Drill

Luis places the tee on the outside back corner of the plate to practice letting the ball travel deep into the hitting zone. The focus is using the backside and hands to make solid, line drive contact to the opposite field and avoid rolling over.

Line Drive Drill0:45

Line Drive Drill

This drill uses the tee in the middle of the plate to check if your swing is on track, focusing on making solid contact with backspin up the middle. The goal is fluid, consistent swings driving hard line drives to the power alleys in right and left center field.

The Walk In Drill

The Walk In Drill

This two-part drill starts with a walk-up to get the body synced and flowing freely into the swing, then shifts focus to driving off the back leg. Starting in motion before swinging helps free up the body and promotes the feeling of using the backside.

The Load & Go Drill

The Load & Go Drill

This drill uses a squat to activate the back leg and lock in balance, stability, and proper sequencing throughout the swing. The focus is loading the backside and getting into a flow state where everything fires in the right order.

The ZV-Tee Color Drill

The ZV-Tee Color Drill

This drill uses the ZV-Tee to train head stability and visual focus through contact, requiring the hitter to keep their eyes locked on the device and call out the color displayed.
